Ten years ago, media buying was a craft of audiences. Today the platforms do that better than any human, and they do it for free. What they cannot do is have an idea.
Which means creative volume is the account structure now. Not fifty variations of the same idea with different thumbnails — fifty genuinely different angles, formats and arguments.
The bottleneck is almost never budget. It is production capacity and, more often, the approval chain. Brands that ship four concepts a month while their competitor ships twenty-four are not being outspent, they are being out-iterated.
The practical fix is a standing production cadence with pre-approved guardrails: a defined set of things the brand will always say, a defined set it will never say, and freedom inside that box without a fresh approval round per asset.
Set that up once and your cost per acquisition falls for reasons that have nothing to do with bidding.
